Inspired by the word “Odori” (踊り), meaning dance, the brand draws from Japan’s vibrant matsuri (festival) culture. The goal was to merge heritage and pop, creating an energy brand that celebrates life through color, motion, and cultural storytelling.
Challenge
Matcha had become synonymous with calm, wellness, and minimalism — a narrative saturated with serenity. Our challenge was to redefine matcha’s identity for a new generation: turning it into a symbol of movement, rhythm, and celebration without losing its Japanese roots.
Our Approach
Odori became a new visual language for matcha — one that speaks through movement, sound, and joy. The brand bridges tradition with modern pop culture, positioning matcha as a festival for the senses rather than a ritual of calm.
